Prevent provides knowledge on how health and safety work can create successful companies where everyone is safe and well. The work is backed up by solid research to ensure the greatest benefit for the workplace.
Prevent has developed two checklists to examine the digital work environment. Managers and safety representatives can use them to investigate which risks exist in the business. Answer the questions, assess the risks, enter any measures and follow up – and you have a written risk assessment and an action plan.
There is also information and checklists for those who will buy or develop new IT systems and those who want to improve their IT systems from a user and work environment perspective.

Prevent is a non-profit organisation owned by the Confederation of Swedish Enterprise, the Swedish Trade Union Confederation (LO) and the Council for Negotiation and Co-operation (PTK).
When examining how different digital systems affect us and our work environment, it is good to look at the following three perspectives:
- How is the content of the work affected by the systems? Are the systems helpful to us and the business?
- What is the technical quality and capacity of the systems? Are they fast, secure and reliable?
- How well adapted are the systems to the human and the tasks? Are they easy to understand and logical to manage?
It is only when all three perspectives are managed that we can say that we have a good digital work environment.
